Some rather enchanting images to quite a beautiful love song, I
would assume; sadly my Greek is so poor that Sarbel could be
singing "your donkey's just eaten my carrots", and I wouldn't
realise! However, whatever he's singing he makes it sound
wonderfully enticing Many years ago whilst on holiday my dear wife
and I spent the evening in a local restaurant in a resort on Samos,
and whilst we enjoyed our gorgeous meal throughout the evening the
owner had compiled a disc full of fantastic Greek pop ballads, some
of which drew me away from my food and took my whole focus for a
few minutes. It was an absolutely fantastic compilation of songs I
wanted a copy for myself but sadly I couldn't get one because it
was the owners own mix of songs.
This is exactly the kind of song that took me away from everything
for just a few moments, and hopefully he's got many more like this
on his next album; songs like this one, and Sahara of course (my
favourite gem by Sarbel).
Beautiful song, and one I imagine his fan Xristina will strongly
approve of (maybe she can translate for me).
