Unfortunately not knowing the language I cannot know exactly what
"Xristina"'s comment refers to but it sounds good. I didn't realise
at first how much I do love this song; you find yourself humming it
later on, not quite knowing what it is or where you heard it. It's
still no SAHARA but it's the next best track on the album. The
video is quite aluring too.
Never can tell exactly what nationality the feel of Sarbel' songs
are supposed to be; they're not quite Greek (to me anyway) and
certainly not English (thank God for that, we need something
different); there's almost an eastern feel, a "deserty" feel, if
there is such a thing.
As in many of his other videos he does seem to favour t-shirts that
just reach the waist, and showing off his tummy. Not sure why,
maybe it could be something you do these days whan dancing? Maybe
if my stomach was as well toned as his, perhaps I'd do the same
thing.
I'd love his next album to be full of tunes like this one, songs
that "worm" their way into your head and stay there for ages. I'd
also love to see Sarbel make it big in the UK, somehow, so we'd get
to see and hear what he's so good at.
Nic Jay don't be so cruel I think Takse mou is one of the best
song. Sarbel has mixed nationality so his songs are also mixed and
it's quite interesting. I wish Sarbel record something in english,
because his British accent is amaizing
Larka, I'm sorry to have offended you with my comments about this
video of Sarbel (and the song). I think you've read me wrong as I
certainly didn't mean to be cruel. Both my wife and I think he is
an amazing performer; he's young and full of vibrant energy, and
with the right song he shows he also has an excellent voice to
match his other qualities. This song in particular is what I call a
"worm"; you hear it, and hear it again, and the more you hear it
the more it "worms" its way into your head. It's actually better
than it sounds on first hearing, very clever. And I totally applaud
Sarbel for applying a mixture of sounds into his songs, in part due
to his mix of nationality (same as me actually). What I'd really
love in 2010 is for a new song with the same eastern/deserty feel
of SAHARA, and also for it to be an international success across
all of Europe. My wife was surprised to learn that Sarbel went to
school in Enfield, UK, just around the corner from where she lived
and went to school. They may have even met each other at some stage
(she can dream on - she's stuck with me!). However, it's nice to
hear from you Larka. I'll look out for your comments elsewhere on
this site as it's great to hear fan's feedback and ideas.
